Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA belongs to the largest chemical companies in Poland, belonging to the group of entities of so called Great Chemical Synthesis. The former state owned company was in 1995 transformed into a joint stock company, and since July 2005 Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA has been a public company quoted on the Stock Exchange.

The Company's profile is concentrated on production of chemical fertilizers:

• mineral fertilizers (multicomponent fertilizers and urea),
• titanium white (titanium dioxide),
• chemicals.

Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA is the manufacturer of multicomponent mineral fertilizers. These products meet high international requirements and are manufactured on the basis of technologies of the world's leading companies of the fertilizer branch. The fertilizers manufactured by the Issuer are ecologically safe as they supply soil with slowly acting forms of nitrogen and very well assimilable forms of all basic nutrients for plants.

Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA has been for many years the only Polish manufacturer of titanium dioxide that is used as a component for products in different branches of industry. At that time, many unique technological solutions have been introduced; a series of environmental investments has been implemented with adopting of technologies to the rigorous EU requirements. Titanium dioxide also called titanium white is manufactured all over the world according to two technologies: sulphate and chlorine methods. The Issuer manufactures it with the sulphate method on the basis of licence purchased from the German Kronos GmbH company.

The group of chemicals includes, first of all, ammonia, phosphoric and sulphuric acids, sodium fluosilicate, ferric sulphate II and distarpol. The basic product in this group is ammonia, the significant quantities of which are exported. Other products are used mainly as semi-products used by the Issuer and sold to companies acting in different branches.

The infrastructure of the Company includes - among other things - two quays for handling of loose materials as well as stands for handling of ammonia and sulphuric acids. Handling of bulk commodities carried out by Zakłady Chemiczne "POLICE" SA puts the port of Police in the group of the largest Polish sea ports.

Today, the Company is the leader in its sector, and stable 50% shares in the external markets place it in the group of the largest Polish exporters. POLICE is distinguished by the unique in Poland production of titanium dioxide, size of production of ammonia, phosphoric and sulphuric acids, and by its position in the sector of multicomponent fertilizers - the Company manufactures 50% of all fertilisers from this group consumed in Poland.
