Jerzy Majchrzak

A graduate of the Chemical Department of Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice in the specialization of chemical engineering and of a postgraduate study at the Institute of Production Systems Organization of the Warsaw Technical University in the field of development, transfer, use management and marketing of technological innovations.
During 1973-1998 he worked in the Institute of Heavy Organic Synthesis “Blachownia” in Kędzierzyn Koźle – he was a co-author of 38 patents, 20 publications and 27 industrial implementations, mostly in the area of phenol-formaldehyde resin manufacture and application. From 1998 to 2001 he was the president of the Town of Kędzierzyn-Koźle. During 2002-2006 he acted as the management board president of Zakłady Azotowe “Kędzierzyn” S.A., since 2006 he has been the director of the Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry. A member of the Scientific Council of the chemical industry institutes (ICSO – a term during 1995-1999). His field of professional interests comprises chiefly chemical industry development and innovation growth.
